New Era Theatre's next production will be another original play by Donna Holloway!

Tabatha Winbush’s Novel is a dramatic thriller that takes the audience on a journey through the memories of Tabatha Winbush, a Pulitzer Prize winning novelist. The setting takes place in Tabatha’s home. As she tries to work, Tabatha is interrupted by various characters. Some of them are welcomed, but others are a strong annoyance to her. For example, the character Della is a university student who has ambitions of becoming a famous writer. She asks for Tabatha’s help in order to get anecdotes for her novel. There are other characters who disrupt Tabatha from her work as well. The most vexatious one is her love interest Harven Grimble. Not only does he constantly show up at her home unannounced, he also distracts her by trying to get her to delay her work in order to go on vacation with him. This causes her to believe that he feels as though her work is trivial. After several episodes of bothersome visits, Tabatha is pushed to reveal where she gets her ideas for her novels. The audience learns through blood-curdling events the origins of the hauntingly crafted works written by Tabatha Winbush.
